Moving home can be an overwhelming experience
Imagine how many items you have collected over the years and stored, somewhere your home, it can become a daunting task to visualise how it will be moved in an orderly and organised way.
AJ Transport prides itself in taking the frustration out of moving, armed with the following information you will be able to approach your move with confidence.

Getting Organised
- Do things early
Plan for those last minute things that arise which you will need time to deal with - Sort, sort and keep sorting
Sort through all your belongings, from your furniture, garden tools and children's toys to your clothes, books and crockery. Make hard decisions on what you will take with you. - Colour code and label all boxes
Draw a plan of your new home and assign a different colour to each room, then decide where each box will need to go and put a matching label on it. - Allow more time than you think is needed
Particularly when it comes to disconnecting utilities and services from your former home and reconnecting them to your new home. - Split up your boxes into long term store and immediate unpack
When you are able to split up your boxes into "long term" store and "immediate unpack", you can unpack all the boxes you need straight away and leave the others for when you have more time (and energy). - Leave out the toilet paper, kettle and a spare light bulb
Either don't pack the essentials, like toilet paper, a kettle or light bulbs, or take some with your separately. - Think about if you will need to store larger items
Plan ahead if you will need storage space for your goods. We can organise storage with very competitive rates if needed. - When you’re packing boxes label them effectively
Try and pack items in complete, logical sections, for example try to pack the bathroom cupboard into one box. That way if you are looking for a toothbrush, you will remember to look into the 'bathroom cupboard' box.
